Summary
HelloJubi is a health-oriented chatbot created by the SHOPS Plus project in India to promote contraceptive use among urban youth. It addresses reproductive health taboos by providing a safe and interactive platform where users can ask questions and learn about family planning through engaging content, including cartoons. Available in both English and Hindi, HelloJubi offers 220 questions related to contraceptives and safe practices, and encourages further engagement through a helpline and an online condom purchasing link. Launched in February 2020, the chatbot has attracted over 75,000 users, mostly male, with an average engagement time of 1.5 minutes. Its adaptable design ensures continued usage beyond the project's conclusion, focusing on Sexual and Reproductive Health.
