In 2017, the Safe Delivery App was customized to comply with Lao national guidelines and translated into the Lao language, thanks to the collaboration between the World Bank, UNFPA Laos, and the Department of Training and Research of the Ministry of Health. Officially launched in May 2017, the app was presented to midwifery teachers at all nine national midwifery schools in Laos, focusing on maternal and child health as well as health promotion.
