The National Blood Transfusion Service in Sri Lanka is recognized as a premier quality service in Asia. However, there are inefficiencies in the information flow for generating blood bank statistics, leading to delays in annual reports and compromised data quality. To combat these challenges, the eMSRS system was implemented to improve blood bank services across the country, thereby aiding in more effective administrative decision-making.
