The ALMANACH approach enhances the World Health Organization's integrated management of childhood illness (IMCI) through a clinical decision support system (CDSS), providing real-time diagnostic and therapeutic guidance. It offers customized medication recommendations based on local disease prevalence and integrates consultation records with a health management information system (DHIS2) for near real-time data access. This integration enables health service improvements via data analysis, including drug usage patterns and outbreak responses. The framework consists of four main components: content development, capacity-building, supervision, and technology infrastructure. Ultimately, ALMANACH aims to significantly strengthen healthcare systems, particularly in maternal and child health.
