Summary
The LLIN platform is a digital tool dedicated to the management of long-lasting impregnated mosquito net distribution campaigns. It enables planning, data collection, beneficiary monitoring and supervision of field operations. The system is fully digitized in five health regions (Centre, Hauts-Bassins, Plateau Central, Centre-Ouest, Centre-Sud) and operates in semi-digitized mode in other districts. Based on DHIS2, the platform includes modules for micro-planning, data collection, supervision and input management, improving logistical monitoring and coverage of target populations.
Services offered include enumeration, distribution and supervision of LLIN campaigns. The platform uses technologies such as HL7 FHIR, proprietary APIs and CSV files. Although open source, it is not yet available nationwide. The project, supported by the Global Fund, CHAI and Bluesquare, aims to optimize coverage of LLIN campaigns in Burkina Faso by 2026. Target populations include pregnant women, children under the age of 5 and healthcare professionals in both rural and urban areas, as well as health areas such as health promotion and communicable diseases.
