The initiative focuses on maintaining continuous immunization care for children in specific cross-border regions through an electronic health information system that gathers individual data. Primary users of the system are children, their guardians, and healthcare providers. Currently, the project is being executed along the Uganda-Kenya border, with intentions to expand to additional countries in future phases, as selected by the IGAD Member Countries. The main health focus of the initiative is vaccination and immunization.
