Summary
Since 2012, MIS-DGHS has implemented remote biometric time attendance machines in all upazila and district hospitals, as well as in certain tertiary hospitals, to effectively monitor the attendance of government health personnel nationwide. This installation has been carried out in phases and now encompasses all Upazila Health Complexes (UHCs) and District Hospitals (DHs). Plans are underway to expand the system to include all government medical colleges, hospitals, and specialized facilities. The biometric system is integrated with a Human Resources Information System (HRIS) that manages employee leave, rosters, total leave counts, individual records, unregistered employees, and device monitoring, with a focus on enhancing health services.
