OpenIMIS is an open-source software aimed at streamlining health insurance administration by assisting insurers with policies, claims, and reimbursements, and facilitating claims submission and payments for healthcare providers. The Ministry of Health (MoH) in Malawi intends to implement and tailor OpenIMIS to improve Service Level Agreement (SLA) workflows between the MoH SLA secretariat and CHAM facilities. This effort is designed to enhance the efficiency of SLA invoicing and reimbursements, thereby improving health service delivery, specifically focusing on areas such as vaccination/immunization and maternal and child health.
