The Tula Foundation's eHealth project seeks to improve health outcomes in remote indigenous communities in Guatemala through a community eHealth system that leverages smartphones to enhance communication among health personnel, promote community health, and optimize health data usage. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Tula adapted the system in 2020 in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and local UN agencies. Key initiatives included real-time COVID-19 surveillance, remote training for frontline workers, information dissemination, and ensuring access to personal protective equipment for healthcare providers. The project focuses on several key health areas, including Sexual and Reproductive Health, Vaccination/ Immunization, Maternal and Child Health, and Health Promotion.
