Summary
"Mon Bébé et Moi" is a free mobile application developed to improve maternal and child health in Burkina Faso. Designed by Enfants du Monde in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and other partners, it targets pregnant women and young mothers by providing reliable information on pregnancy, childbirth, postnatal care and prevention against COVID-19. The app aims to promote healthy health behaviors through accessible digital education, including in rural areas, and is easily accessible on smartphones.
The initiative focuses on several health districts, including Zabré, Tenkodogo and Koupéla. It is supported by various partners, including the Direction de la Santé de la Famille and Hôpitaux Universitaires Genevois, with the aim of improving maternal and child health by 2026. Areas of intervention include maternal health, sexual and reproductive health, and primary healthcare, targeting a diverse population including women, adolescents and adults in both urban and rural contexts.
